Healthier Dining Programme(HDP)

Overview
The HDP is an initiative by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) to encourage F&B establishments to provide healthier meal options to their customers. The HDP places emphasis on:

  • Provision of low / no sugar beverages
  • Provision of lower calorie meals
  • Use of healthier ingredients e.g. whole grains / healthier oils

Funding Components

  1. HEALTHIER DINING GRANT (HDG) – The HDG is a co-funding program provided by HPB to assist HDP Partners in promoting and publicizing healthier menu options. HPB will cover up to 80% of the qualifying expenses, cap at $30,000, for creating in-store marketing materials and making website/app changes, up to the approved grant amount, and subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
  2. HEALTHIER DINING INNOVATION GRANT (HDIG) – The HDIG is a funding program that provides up to S$5,000 to assist F&B operators in initiating capability upgrades and engaging in food innovation activities. HDIG helps reduce costs in the following areas as you develop healthier dishes: Research and Development / Purchase of Healthier Ingredients / Culinary Training / Recipe Formulation
  3. COMPLIMENTARY POINT-OF-SALE (POS) SYSTEM ENHANCEMENT – This support helps automate the submission of monthly sales reports for healthier food and beverages for up to $6000.
